The govt has said that this scheme will be started within 2-3 months if all is well.
Further, the govt has also declared that this facility will be available to all women irrespective of their financial health. But however, those women who can afford to buy tickets will not be banned from doing so.
Delhi Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal said that it is necessary to ensure safety for women in public transport system but they feel difficulty due to high fares.
Another fact is that. this major step will bring a loss of about Rs 700 Crores to the Delhi govt, but the govt will bear all the loss itself so the central govt will not interfere in it.
There is a mixed set of reactions among the people regarding this decision. Lets see what happens next.
